Oh my!....This is the first day in a long time I can take a walk in the neigborhood without an unbrella. This seems to have been one of the worse Springsssss we've had in a long time or maybe it's just me. The skies have been dark and gray with rain almost everyday.....but.....I woke up to sunshine today. Time for a walk and some pictures of flowers. This is called nature determination in spite of the bad weather this month the flowers are reaching upward to bring color into our lives and a smile on our faces.

How high is to high......

Local Arizona photographer Curt Fonger captures the scene...Gold Canyon photographer captured an outstanding photo of a bobcat mounted atop a statuesque saguaro, who had just escaped from a large mountain lion. A local landscaper witnessed a large mountain lion chasing this bobcat through a wash. They both crossed the road and the bobcat..in..desperation...launched himself onto this huge saguaro cactus and forthwith shot up to the top to escape the lion.  The mountain lion laid at the bottom of the saguaro for a bit before realizing that his attempts were futile. He turned around and walked back into the wash towards Superstition Mountain and vanished. Fonger and wife were called and rushed to get a shot at the scene. Gold Canyon Bob didn't leave for a number of hours later. They said he didn't seem frightened or even nervous.... very calm.  All in a days work of an American Bobcat in Arizona. "To us, he represented the true American spirit of survival and integrity through creature innocence".  One of God's creations at a time.........

It must be the weather in the greater Northwest that keeps me heading for small cozy places. It's still cold and rainy here...don't know how our poor flowers will bloom or when. We were out driving and I saw this cute play area. I just had to stop and take a picture.  I'm going back after the tree has leaves and picture up again.  One gang-plank at a time........

Up ! Up ! and Away....

Once upon a time...I had a beautiful friend , who lived in Arizona. She was such a kind person and would listened to all the complaining we made about our weather in Washington. Who would have thought we would be looking for Tulips and Easter candy in April snow.  Doesn't Mother Nature know it's April Showers bring May flowers......not April snow brings May hail. I thought this was a saying she coined. My beautiful friend, sent me some pixs of wonderful, fanciful tree houses.... Look up my friend and dream of warmer days... or..... cheap air fares, so I can visit you in sunny Arizona. Some of these tree house are so fun.....Grab a cup of tea.....a good book.....and climb up with me, to touch the sun and warm your soul.
