- Divide the tree vertically into three sections and string lights by section.
- Plug the lights in before you begin, to weed out defective strands. Leave them plugged in as you place them so you can spot dark spaces in the tree.
- Beginning at the bottom, weave each string in and out of the branches, to the top of the tree and back.

I'm stringing you along......
I'm so excited about this I could blow a bulb.......I read an article about maximizing the twinkle of your tree. Now if you don't believe me......this comes from the Pro-tested technique of the tree decorators at New York City's Rockefeller Center........If they don't know, nobody know.......

Great idea but I wonder how long it would take, and how easy it would be, to detangle those lights after Christmas. I love to take my time with the decorating process, but when the holidays are over I just want everything organized and put away quickly. Guess I'm just wired that way (one wire at a time!).
ReplyDeleteOh wait! I know something that could ease my anxiety over getting everything taken apart and put away: a good holiday drink! Either hot or cold! Got any good recipes, Ms. TTT? Hmmmmmm?
ReplyDeleteOh, I decided on that matter 2 years ago, as this is a detail that can somehow trump your Christmas decor.
ReplyDeleteI bought some lights that are actually a large net that "embraces" the tree all around, so that way the lights are spread evenly all around. And when you remove the decor you just store if folded. Best thing I bought for decor in the past years.
Congratulations on your Blog. I'm having a great day enjoying it.

Teresa..That's a great idea. I've wondered before if that would work. I'm going to share on my blog. Thanks
