Friends In The City

Do not change the channel. We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to make this important message. I'M OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!  Every year about 10 of us, pile into 2 cars and head for Seattle Shopping.

No husbands, kids, laptops or phones.....I lied about the phones......we do check in on our families. This annual trip has been going on for at least 15-20 years. The ages run from 22 years to 63 years young. There are (2) sets of mother & daughter teams going. Talk about a cross section of interest. We have a Nurse, Customs Broker, Vice President of Duty Free store, Retired Teacher, Day Care Teacher, Nail Tech, Oil Company Tech, Brokerage Sales Rep. Mother of 4 (you wouldn't believe me if I listed her daily schedule) and me! I'm a Jack of all Trades and Master of none......but having fun getting there. Do you think we go on this annual trip for us.....NO.....we do this so the fathers will continue to bond with the family. Do you really think, shopping all day, eating in our favorite restaurants, laughing until we ___ our pants, drinking our yum,yum wine, sleeping in a wonderful hotel, getting up and doing the same thing all day Sunday......is EASY?    Our first stop tomorrow at 7:30 am.....COFFEE at Starbucks, after all we live in the great Northwest, home of coffee.  I'm so excited to get my batteries recharged by my friends. I'll see you on the other side of the week-end.  Chocolate, Wine, toothbrush....check!
